The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that's middle-of-the-road. It offers a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.
During testing it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do, to identify your home.
1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features, including an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. This robot can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automated schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is in place, you can start automated cleaning with a single button press. You can choose a general clean which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as cereal and rice. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is completely cleaned.
This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some others do, and it can even clean up pet hair with ease. It does have a hard time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot promises it will get better with the next models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle walls and furniture. It's a great improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also features an advanced filtration system, which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We think this is a nice statement but not enough to justify a premium price.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to keep track of the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundaries, so it is aware of areas that require more attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as good as those on higher-end models. The mopping system is better because its spinning pads scrub your floors much better than a vibrating pad.
The only issue is the absence of a second brush for deeper cleaning. However, that's not a major issue when you're looking to purchase one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank of the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors, and filling it up takes only two or three cycles, even when you've got a lot of dirt.
As for the mopping device, I was amazed by its ability to remove hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, generate very little noise, which allows you to work or watch TV without distraction. If it comes into contact with a wall or piece of furniture it gently bumps into it before moving along.
What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely on its own, with no need for human intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically transfers physical trash into the bin hidden from view, as well as washes and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app is good at notifying you when something requires attention, for example, the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session being cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.
You can also combine or create actual rooms to alter the way Q Revo manages your home. This is a great feature for those who have multiple areas of your home with different flooring materials or if there's some items that need to be removed frequently, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, taking debris from both carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that comes with all the features you can want. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has self-cleaning bases that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.
The most significant improvement to the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the modern, sleeker design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still big. It is more than two feet in both height and depth, and weighs in at least four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This version is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a full cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
Lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and a voice assistant that works offline, which means you can control it even when you're not home. It also comes with a smart routing function that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.
The X2 Omni is the best mopping robot. Its rotating mop pads scrub away tough stains, and its motor generates lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is top-notch, and it boosts suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as the ones we've seen on an ordinary robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that offers a number of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It is able to build detailed floor maps, identify various flooring types and is among the few to automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These are nice features however they can push the L10s into the luxury category. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.
It is designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish highlighted by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which protects the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving through the house. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which acts as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and transmit it to its base station. The control panel includes the circular menu which lets you choose cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will bring up the app's settings menu where you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra works with your home.
Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to help you map out your home. This creates a precise floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop effectively and avoid getting stuck in messy areas. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for families with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra best self-emptying robot vacuum is an efficient vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors, and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. The mops are also efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile and carpet tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
